The exterior of the fruit displays a pink-red hue, with a rough texture that is not suitable for consumption, while encasing a luscious, sweet flesh. The fruits exhibit a range of shapes, from round to ovoid to heart-shaped, reaching dimensions of up to 5 cm in length and 4 cm in width (2.0 in x 1.6 in).

Although the rind is inedible, it can be effortlessly peeled away to reveal a layer of translucent white fleshy aril. This aril possesses a delightful floral aroma and imparts a fragrant and sweet flavor when savored.
